  • Concrete base. Because there would be multiple elements that needed to be on equal footing, we began the project by pouring a concrete base. It allowed our technicians to mount the other components for a sturdy display.
  • Geometric shapes. When you first see the sign, you cannot help but focus on the combination of triangles, rectangles, and circles. These elements combine to create an aesthetically pleasing presentation that combines several messages.
  • Board. The rectangular part of the sign features a welcome message that displays the city’s name in large letters.
  • Box cabinet. The round portion of the sign shows the city’s name, logo, and tagline. Doing so brings the venue’s character to the forefront. It also allows for illumination, which is an eye-catching component of any sign.
  • Lettering. Toward the right of the city’s welcome sign, you notice a triangular shape that highlights one of the area’s leading businesses. Referencing Taylor Guitars with dimensional letters, this combination of signage items gives visitors a great understanding of this city’s values.

What Does Your Monument Sign Say About Your Brand?

Monument Signs for cities and towns in San Diego County CA

In the past, monuments were generic. They featured a brick and mortar base with a board or dimensional lettering to identify a company. Now, business owners are looking for ways to incorporate their brand messages into a design that defines the venues to visitors, employees, and others.

There are typically three different types – in addition to brick and mortar designs – that company owners favor. The first is the concrete base. It is a good option when you need several identical signs but don’t want to spend a mint. As a result, you frequently see these signs at the entrances to parks, recreational areas, and even cities. Add dimensional letters for the best results.

Another type that is becoming more popular consists of pre-fabricated foam. Do not let the name fool you. Rather, this sturdy stuff comes in a broad range of shapes, sizes, and designs. Best of all, you can make it look like a stone monument, lumber, stucco, river rock, or something else altogether. Place it in your landscape and allow plants and other features to complete its look.

Aluminum is the third option. Some clients request that we fabricate the entire structure out of aluminum and add a board or lightbox cabinet. Others favor the use of push-through acrylic letters. Aluminum is an excellent material for creative designs.
