For instance, if you have recently painted the walls to better match the graphics you will soon have, you may want to wait for installation.
Once a wall has been painted, it takes a lot longer to dry than many realize. Simply putting your hand on the wall and seeing if any paint comes off is not a good way to test if it is dry enough. This is because the lower layers on the wall may not be fully dry, even if they feel as though they are. So, what can be done?
There is no fool-proof way to test it, but waiting can be a huge factor. On average, it takes at least 48 hours for the layers of paint to fully dry. Simply plan it out in advance and wait an extra couple days. By then, all layers of the paint job should be fully dry and ready for the graphics. Be sure to look over the paint and make sure the surface is flat. Even the smallest imperfection can lead to bubbles during installation.
